Visoko

Visoko is a historic town in central Bosnia and Herzegovina, located about 30 kilometres northwest of Sarajevo. It played an important role in the medieval Bosnian Kingdom and is considered one of the birthplaces of the Bosnian state.

The town is home to the remains of the medieval royal town of Visoki and the nearby village of Mile, where Bosnian kings were crowned and buried. In recent years, Visoko has also gained international attention for the controversial Bosnian Pyramid claims, attracting visitors from around the world.

Today, Visoko is known for its rich history, archaeological heritage, traditional crafts and welcoming atmosphere.
