Travnik

Travnik is a historic town in central Bosnia and Herzegovina, beautifully situated in the Lašva River valley beneath the slopes of Mount Vlašić. From 1699 to 1850, it served as the residence of the Ottoman viziers of Bosnia, earning the nickname "The City of Viziers."

The town is famous for its well-preserved medieval fortress, colourful old town, historic mosques and the birthplace of Nobel Prize-winning writer Ivo Andrić. Visitors also enjoy the Blue Water (Plava Voda) spring, traditional Bosnian cuisine and the scenic mountain surroundings.

Today, Travnik is one of the country's most charming cultural and historical destinations, combining centuries of heritage with a relaxed atmosphere.
